Another Unhealthy Obsession...

I think that shameless needs a spin off that’s all about the Milkovich’s

Daily reblog. I have to, it’s the law.

time to take my vitamin…

The low and the down

Tagged by the lovely avalonia320 - who is a new friend but who I’m coming to just adore! We’re practically twinners! :D

Fill in all the blanks and tag six people.

Name: Jessica

Nickname: Jandy, Salmon, Jess, (or Jessie - if you’re my grandpa or my childhood best friend Eric)

Birthday: August 18th

Favourite number(s): 17 - it’s random, but I’ve loved 17 since I was 13 and had a massive crush on Jason Wood (who happened to wear a 17 on his hockey jersey).

Height: 5 ft 5 inches  (and I’m the tallest girl in my family)

Talents: many (the ability to fangirl at an 9th grade level)

Can you juggle? I have never tried - so I don’t want to say no.

Art/Sports/Both? I’m a Historian so I guess that’s kinda arty but I like sports… so I’m going with both.

Do you like writing? I love writing. Actually, outlines to stories are more my strong suit. I have some AWESOME plot outlines that are pretty detailed and researched… it’s just the actual writing sometimes gives me fits.

Do you like dancing? Yes, but only alone.

Do you like singing? Yes and I’m pretty fantastic at it. I should have mentioned it when I was talking about talents. Whoops.

Last thing you Googled? "banks beggin for thread" - I wanted to listen to her new song as I tumblred.

Most used phrase? "Sweet Merciful Frak!" or "Holy Hannah!"

Dream vacation: Great Britain.

Dream guy/gal: I am madly in love with my husband - but if we’re going with fantasizing… Tina Majorino and John Krasinski

Dream wedding: If I were to go back and redo my wedding, I would tell my 19 year old self not to worry about pleasing anyone else and just elope to Hawaii or something.

Dream pet: A wee West Highland Terrier (which we’re planning on getting right after the move).

Dream job: History Professor (getting paid to talk about the War of the Roses and Edward VIII’s abdication).

Favourite song:  I heart music BIG time and though it’s hard to choose, I have a list that doesn’t really change much:

1. Bizarre Love Triangle (and I don’t care who sings it - whether it’s a cover or New Order’s Original - I LOVE this song!)

2. Sleepwalk by Santo & Johnny

3. Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller

4. Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie

5. Walking After Midnight by Patsy Cline

and 6. Please, please, please let me get what I want by Elefant (a cover of an okay The Smiths song - I just prefer the cover)

Favourite Album: Another insanely hard thing to choose. I would say either “Meet the Beatles”, “Plans” by DeathCab, “Ever After” by Marianas Trench, or “Bad Blood” by Bastille

Last song you’ve heard on the radio: Banks - Begging for Thread (and I liked it - thus I was just googling it to listen to it again)

Least favourite song:  I don’t know if I have one - because if I hate a song I just won’t listen to it.

Least favourite album:  Same as the song - I don’t listen to what I don’t like.

Least favourite artist: Alice in Chains or ACDC or Neil Young. Ick.

Guys/Girls/Both: I would say I’m a solid 2.5 on the Kinsey Scale.

Hair color: Doesn’t matter but generally blond.

Eye color: Blue.

Humorous/serious: Have to be funny and cleverly witty but if you can’t take anything seriously either it’s a deal breaker.

Taller/Shorter: TALL!

Biggest turn off: Not knowing about what’s going on in the world or on the flip side - not caring about pop!culture (ie. If I can’t carry on a conversation about the viability of Scottish Independence or whether Chris Pratt makes the best Marvel Superhero ever - then you’re not for me). Also - the lack of ambition (the drive to better oneself) is a HUGE turn off.

Biggest turn on:  Smelling delicious. (I’m shallow)

Last thing said to a family member: “goodnight, baby. I love you.”

One place that makes me happy and why: Southern Alberta - No matter how long I’ve lived away - it will always be home.

How many blankets I sleep under: A big duvet in the winter and a sheet and light quilt in summer. My husband is a furnace though so if he’s cuddly then I don’t need any and my legs are likely stretching to get some of the cool mattress away from him.

Favourite beverage(s): Diet Pepsi

The last movie I watched in the cinema: Guardians of the Galaxy for the second time.

Three things I can’t live without: Other than my sweetheart and my three kids, it would be music, my wifi connection and my books.

Something I plan on learning: To speak Russian fluently. I took four years of Russian in University (and one in hs) - you’d think I’d be able to speak it better than next to nothing.

A piece of advice for all my followers:

tagging:  whatwouldflorencedo, lolableu, feelavalanche, ohyellowbirdisland-in-the-shadows, winterlace, and lokechild  and anyone else I’ve forgotten I heartily apologize - it’s veery late.

If you’re living under a rock, we put up this cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” yesterday and HOLY SHIT it has 350,000 plays. Thanks for the love, y’all.
